THE BAUGHMAN FAMILY AGRICULTURAL AND ATHLETIC GROUNDS

7676 US HWY 36 LAND DEVELOPMENT PROJECT

INFORMATION AND UPDATES

History of this project....

In early 2024 Clifford Baughman, former Graham Teacher, Graham School Board Member, and active community member, approached Chad Lensman, Graham Superintendent, about he and his family wanting to make a legacy gift to support the students and community of Graham Local Schools. Graham had previously been exclusively offered an opportunity to purchase the 46.7 acre property adjacent and directly east of Graham High School by the Donnan Family. Through discussions and identification of the many possible uses of this adjacent property to expand opportunities at Graham, the Baughman family decided to make a $710,502.10 donation with the funds earmarked to purchase the property and left over funds from the donation to be used for initial land development. On July 1, 2024 the district closed on the property with a purchase price of $475,000 .

Since the purchase of the property, we have had LOCAL community business reach out wanting to help with the land development through donation and or discounted work. A sign is being purchased and erected on the property to honor the Baughman family's generous donation and to allow for the district to celebrate and honor those individuals and business that are donating time, labor, and supplies to develop the property further without using operating funds from tax dollars to do so.

If you are a business and are interested in being a part of this exciting project please contact Chad Lensman, Superintendent - lensmanc@grahamlocalschools.org and/or Don Burley, Director of Operations - burleyd@grahamlocalschools.org - 937-663-4123
