Falcon Pride! 🦅🦅

Congratulations to our four 8th graders Tyrell Allen, Tori Ford, Jay Miller, and Rachel Birchfield, who participated in the second stage of the National Civics Bee competition at Sinclair Community College this week. Students qualified by writing an essay on a problem that needed to be addressed in the community. In this second stage, 10 students from the area competed in a civics trivia bee competition. Tori Ford and Jay Miller qualified for the third stage of the competition, which was a question and answer session with the three judges on stage. Jay Miller finished in 3rd place overall, winning a trophy and $125. Jay also qualified for the state competition. Congratulations to all four participants for a job well done. They represented Graham Middle School with dignity and pride.

Outstanding 8th grade Art I student Adelaide Shearer completed a mural project in the GMS cafeteria. Out of a request from the cafeteria staff, and a successful doodle project Adelaide made in 7th grade art, the idea was generated. A mock drawing was made and then modified to fit the wall space. The mural was drawn with charcoal and then finalized with a vibrant fine art graffiti marker. Thank you Adelaide!

Reminder for this Friday!

The Graham Athletic Boosters successfully raised funds and generously donated the Graham Athletic Building to the Graham Board of Education. This achievement was made possible by the dedicated efforts of a passionate group of Graham parents and athletic supporters who had a vision to provide top-notch athletic facilities for Graham athletes. These facilities have been supporting Graham athletes for years and are poised to continue benefiting Graham student-athletes for years to come. At the presentation to the Board of Education, both past and present Booster members Greg Arnett, Tiffany Arnett, Cliff Baughman, Gail Hannahs, Jason Maurice, and Miranda Uhl were in attendance to present the building. The district expresses deep gratitude for the incredible dedication shown towards our student-athletes and the overall betterment of our district.
