The Dancing Band from Falconland put on a fantastic performance to a packed house as they closed out their fall season! Director Buell and Assistant Director Shafer recognized our senior band members Brantlee, Tiffany, and Tommy to close out the night. Thanks to our GHS Cheerleaders for joining in the fun! On Friday, 6th grade ELA teachers welcomed in Ms. Lisa from the St. Paris Library for a writing activity. Students were given several objects that would be the focus of their story. Items included an animal main character, a food, and a state. Ms. Lisa collaborates with teachers monthly for various activities and lessons connected to their learning journey.

7th grade students in Mr. Slones science class are working to visualize and measure waves in their “Slinky and the Wave Lab.”
These two fine educators (whom the students think look a lot alike like) talk about the importance of kindness in competition and what it looks like when friends compete!
6th grade scientists completing a choice-based lab today while learning about igneous rocks. Students all have certain portions they must complete based on their individual learning needs. Some choices include creation of rock formations with modeling clay, online blooket quiz, venn diagrams, vocab work, coloring of diagrams, and more… Then students have a one-on-one check-in with Ms. Ellis for feedback and checking of understanding.

Today Mackenzie and Rick from Orbis in Urbana came to visit our Enclave students. They brought milk crates made by Orbis for us to use for our backpack program. With the help from their plant manager, Todd, they filled them full of non perishable items!! Mrs. Lensman's Enclave students help put these bags together for students in the backpack program as part of their job experience! Today Zayne, Zak, and Damian helped receive these items and will take them to the elementary for distribution!
