Thanks to the Champaign County Democratic Party for their donation of $502.17 to cover outstanding lunch charges in the district. The check was presented by Chair Heather Tiefenthaler and Treasurer Dianne Burroughs at the December Board of Education Meeting. The group was able to offer to cover lunch charges at all Champaign County Schools!

🧪🔬 Yesterday in Mr. Slone's middle school science class, students had a blast testing the acidity and basicity of different substances! Using blue and red litmus paper, they were able to see firsthand how acids and bases react. Blue litmus paper turns red in acids, and red litmus paper turns blue in bases.
They also explored red cabbage juice as a natural pH indicator. A variety of substances were tested and students learned how they interact with acids and bases in the world around us.
