5th graders created a marble run to help the turkey escape during their STEM Literacy Activity after they read the book "How to Catch a Turkey"!

Our Kindergarten students were busy as the students made their thanksgiving meal out of play-doh and then made a table out of different building materials to set it on.

Mrs. Roach's 1st grade class read Thanksgiving at the Tappletons'. Their turkey went into the pond. We did a STEM activity and created poles to help retrieve the turkey!

3rd Grade students STEM lesson - water striders glide on water. Looks like our 3rd graders are focused Falcons during this lesson.

GES 3rd graders had their annual Breads of Harvest day with the Champaign County/OSU 4H Extension. Students mix, knead and take home their bread to bake. We look forward to this day each year and are grateful for our county’s 4H organization and all the various programs they provide for our students!

More from our 5th grade classes!
5th graders read the book “How to Catch a Turkey” and then built marble run mazes to help the Turkey escape from having to perform in the show!

Mrs. Maurices K Prep classroom disguised turkeys and talked about how a turkey can escape Thanksgiving supper.

Who was enjoying the snuggles more - Lucy or the student's in Mrs. Putnams Kindergarten class! Thank you Mr. Lensman for coming to GES and visiting our classrooms!

5th grade student's read "How to Catch a Turkey" and then designed and built a maze to help Tom the Turkey get from the stange to freedom.

We want to wish all of our GES families a Happy Thanksgiving/Fall Break!
See you back at GES on Tuesday November 28th.

Our afternoon preschool student's joined our 2nd graders during their annual Macy's Day Balloon Parade! What a neat STEM activity our 2nd grade teachers do with their students each year!

Getting ready for our school music performances, grandparent/special person days and other events couldn't happen without our custodial staff.
GES wants to thank the custodial staff of GLS for helping us set up and put away all of the chairs and tables after each one of our events.
Teamwork Makes The Dreamwork!

We had lots of students showing their Team Spirit today at GES! These are just a few of the pictures!

2nd Grade held their annual Macy's Day Parade - this is a fun STEM activity where the students build their own version of the Macy's Day Parade Balloons. Then the students get to have their own "Macy's Day Balloon" parade as they travel the hallways of GES with all of our students cheering them on!

See Everyone Back At GES On Tuesday November 28th

Our 2nd grade student's performed in front of a packed house on November 16th for their Thanksgiving Day Program. It is a wonderful site seeing our students smiling and singing along to the fun songs that were part of this program. Thank you to Mrs. Carlson GES Music Teacher for directing the program and Mrs. Gleeson for accompanying our students on the piano.

Grandparents/Special Person day at GES had our 3rd graders running to the gymnasium to get ready for the day on Friday November 17th! There were a variety of activities for everyone including building a catapult!

Graham Elementary School-Wide Team Spirit Day
Tuesday, November 21st

It was another great day to be a Falcon as we welcomed our 3rd grade grandparents/special person's into the building to spend some time with our students!

Oh the happiness on the faces of these 4th grade students as they met their grandparent/special person in the cafeteria. It is always a great day when we have our community and family members come to GES!
