Subject: Help Us Preserve Our Playground!
Dear Graham Local Schools Community,
We are writing to you today with a request and a shared commitment to preserve the wonderful resource we have in our community - the Graham Elementary playground.
Our playgrounds have long-served as a place where children can learn, grow, and play. They are spaces that are not only integral to the well-being of our students during school hours but are also available for the enjoyment of our entire community after school hours. We have witnessed countless children and families come together, share laughter, and create lasting memories in these spaces.
In 2022, we undertook an extensive and costly renovation project, to ensure that our playgrounds were safe, fun, and inclusive for all. The collective effort that went into this upgrade aimed to provide the best possible experience for everyone who uses the playground. We take great pride in what we've accomplished and want these playgrounds to continue being a valuable asset to our community for many years to come.
However, we are facing a challenge that threatens the longevity of our playgrounds. After school hours, we have observed instances of significant damage to the equipment. These incidents not only compromise the safety of the playground but also impose a financial burden on the school district that is becoming increasingly difficult to sustain.
To overcome this challenge and ensure the continued availability of our playground for our community, we kindly request your support and cooperation. We ask that all community members, especially parents and guardians, take an active role in monitoring children closely when they are using the playground outside of school hours. This vigilance can go a long way in preventing damage and preserving this precious resource.
By working together, we can maintain a safe and enjoyable space for all children and families in our community. We believe in the power of community involvement, and we are confident that, with your assistance, we can address this issue and protect the future of our playground.
We are grateful for your support and partnership in this endeavor. Together, we can ensure that our playground remains a safe and inclusive place where children can continue to play, learn, and create cherished memories.
Thank you for your understanding and commitment to our community.
Our students work in whole group, small group and have independent work throughout the day.
