A visit to the library each week is always a treat for kids. These first graders have chosen a wide variety of books, and they are looking forward to reading them either at school or at home with their parents.
Graham Elementary Physical Education students have been challenged by Mr. Jacobs and Mr. Blosser to jump rope for 1 minute without stopping or missing. The students who reach this goal get to sign the Jump Rope 1 Minute Club. Keep working hard Falcons!

Students in grade 2 learned about the famous dog race, The Iditarod, and then wrote about the things they found important. The wonderful drawings of the sled dogs really enhance their work!
Telling time is an important skill that is being mastered by our hard working 2nd graders. Number Corner is part of our Math day which involves discussing and investigating concepts in Math. Reading an analog clock is still important even though most are now digital.
Our preschool learners are always busy learning new things, which includes how wonderful books can be. Here they listen to a story and discuss the contents.
An impromptu activity and reminder about being mindful of our words and actions can have the most impact. Here a 2nd grade group talks about being kind. Being a leader can mean using kind words as a model.

Our preschoolers recently made Kindness Rocks with positive thoughts to spread around our school grounds. They are spreading kindness to others with the hope it makes others happy to find them!
Students have been learning new dances in their Physical Education and Music classes. Today the student's in 4th grade got a surprise when their teacher's Mrs. Garcia and Mrs. Tebbe joined in on the fun!

Science - 4th grade students used light bulbs, batteries, wires, motors and aluminum foils to create closed circuits. They explored with materials to see if they could make the light bulb and motor work.
We had a visit from Deputy Duke (dog) of the Champaign County Sheriff’s Office and his handler, Gretchen Lapp. She explained to the children the purpose of a therapy dog and what Duke’s role is with the sheriff’s department. They are scheduled to visit us again in the future!
Lost & Found - We have a collection of clothes in our Lost and Found area in the cafeteria. Please check to see if any of these items might belong to your child.
Math and Art can be combined to learn and create. Check out the grid artwork put together by some of our 3rd grade students that hang in the hallways!
The Coloring Club is one of many clubs that our students of all ages enjoy participating in for a creative outlet. What fun to display your artistic talents!
You just never know who or what might visit your classroom at Graham Elementary. Baby lambs stopped by to visit with some of our kindergarten students, and the children loved it!
