Graham Elementary Cafeteria Team decorated the cafeteria for Valentine's Day. Our Graham Elementary students helped out by coloring pictures for the wall. We want to give a big shout out to our cafeteria team for working hard for and having fun with our students
Yesterday, our staff celebrated the month of love with the February Staff Challenge. They had to find their match of famous couples. The children also had fun keeping their eyes peeled for their teacher’s match throughout the day!
A few weeks ago, kids of all ages enjoyed a visit and treat during Kona Ice day. Students can purchase a shaved ice treat, while others earn a free one as the Kona Ice Super Student.
Fourth graders learn about how rounding numbers can help with estimation in real life applications. Knowing place value is a key to rounding as well.
Our 2nd graders constructed timelines about their lives with the help of their parents. The home-school connections help support learning at Graham!
Our 5th grade students have posted reflections on how they use the Leader in Me habits in their own personal lives. Being a Leader in Me school helps us to become great people all around!
Quarterly Awards - Each grading period, students can earn pins for their lanyards. A pin can be earned in areas such as leadership, excellence, attendance, most improved, citizenship, kindness, etc. Congrats to all the students who earned them for quarter 2!

First grade children learned about the importance of kindness. They decided upon ways in which they could sprinkle kindness to others during their school day.
Third graders did a STEM activity that went along with the book Where the Wild Things Are. After constructing their boats, they measured how far they could travel on water. Students then had to reflect on what went well and what could be improved upon with their design.
Many students are given the opportunity to learn where they are most comfortable when working. Our children take advantage of working in various spots around the classroom just like these 2nd grade kids.
CLUB HIGHLIGHTS: Card Games, Karaoke, and Board Games are just 3 out of the 43 clubs that children can choose to participate in during Club Day. Our staff members offer a club based on staff and student interests. We will continue to highlight our clubs in future posts.
Scooter Board and Hockey looks like fun for our 5th graders in P.E. classes!
Last Friday was one of our theme days, and we celebrated National DJ Day with music being played at lunch. We also shared some musical information about our teachers with the students. You could see kids grooving and dancing in their seats!
A huge “thank you” to the Westville United Methodist Church for the donation of school supplies! GES staff and students appreciate your generosity!
First graders made New Year's Resolutions for themselves to begin 2023. They have made some great ones, and are likely working hard to follow through with them as we come to the end of January soon.
Our Kindergarten students love having their special Middle School students around to help them out with skills. What a great way to promote students helping students as role models and mentors in and around the classrooms!
Our students have a hand in decorating our hallways with positive messages. Students in our School Beautification Club have made the school come alive with signs created to promote kindness and spirit.
