Graham High School rising Senior Ayden Rudolph took the overall title for the second year in a row at the 2024 Falcon 5K. Ayden hopes to track down GMS Teacher Christian Callison’s record of 3 consecutive wins next year. Ayden told race organizers that his goal is to “win it enough times that we have to name it after him!”
The Falcon 5K is held annually on Memorial Day weekend and raises funds to support student organization costs and PBIS programming for the middle school. Annually, GMS spends thousands of dollars to fund celebrations of staff and students as well as student participation in organizations and trips for students that excel and qualify for special events at the regional, state, and national levels. Race organizer, GMS Principal Nick Guidera, shared, “This is truly a great event to raise funds for things that matter to our students and staff. To see families coming out to participate or just cheer on others shows that it's much more than a race, it’s a community event. Events like this cannot happen without support from community sponsors, participants, and great volunteers behind the scenes; we are truly grateful for all involved. This year through sponsorship and registration of 110 participants between the 5K and the elementary fun run GMS was able to raise just under $2,800.”
Thank you to the following sponsors for their support of the event: McGuire Farm & Excavating, Rice Transport Inc, J&H Trucking LLC, First Central National Bank of St. Paris, Pete’s Pit Stop, and St. Paris Furniture.
