4th grade students have been working on insulators, conductors, and circuits in Science. To finish up the unit, we had Josh Kizer, owner of Kizer Electric, come in to speak about his profession. He also brought in tools and materials he uses daily. We are so thankful he could share his expertise!
Graham Elementary Staff Spotlight - Mrs. Putnam
Graham Elementary had 12 projects compete at this year's county science fair day. Congratulations to Amera Rader and Piper Jacobs, Ayla Lensman and Olivia Obaugh, Leni Rader and Lucy Rodgers, Juliana Williams, and Colten Taylor for being selected to move on to the district level.
In addition, several of our individual and group projects received sponsored monetary awards. Amera Rader and Piper Jacobs along with Colten Taylor received the shepherd award for best project in chemistry. Sarah Faulkner and Emma Miller received the award for best project in engineering. Ayla Lensman and Olivia Obaugh received the award for microbiology or medicine and health. Juliana Williams received the McMurray family spirit of science award and Amera Rader and Piper Jacobs received third place overall at the county event. Congratulations to all of our 5th grade participants. We are proud of you for taking on the challenge of your first science fair project!
Mrs. Fasse’s 2nd grade class celebrated Valentine’s Day with some sweet chocolate treats 🍫 while they learned some great life lessons that helped Milton Hershey become a very successful man. After reading the book 📖 “On the Corner of Chocolate Avenue” .

Our preschool learners worked in clubs today to learn more about the letter “u” and patterns. Students found the letter “u” in various parts of many words, and used blocks to create and continue patterns.

Our fifth grade science learners are actively engaged in self-led learning activities to culminate a couple of weeks of studies. These Falcons are focused and growing in their confidence and independence every day!
4th grade students are exploring electric circuits. They were challenged to light a lightbulb or start a motor fan using wires, aluminum foil and multiple batteries.

Check out Mrs. Eichhorn's 2nd grade class. During this lesson they worked together counting by 100's, 10's and 1's to get to a total of 1,076 sticks all together!
