Graham's Lockery Rates SUPERIOR at State Science Fair! Graham Elementary is thrilled to announce that 5th grader Brandon Lockery received a superior rating at the State Science Fair this month with this Growing Sugar Crystals project! 615 students in grades 5-12 competed at the state level this year. Only 311 students received a superior rating; of those 311, only 25 were 5th graders! Brandon gets to attend a special recognition ceremony at The Ohio State University in May in recognition of his accomplishments. Congratulations to Brandon on his hard work. We are proud of you!

Some of our youngest students are able to learn about rhythm by using instruments with mallets to copy or produce a beat. Ms. Carlson allows kids to experience and experiment with music in many different ways.

Our preschool students had a visit from the Champaign County Master Gardeners last week. The presenter discussed the life cycles of a butterfly and shared a book about them. They donated a book about wild animals in Ohio and will be providing caterpillars to our classrooms!

Our first graders have fun in Physical Education classes by practicing hand-eye coordination with striking an object or with balance. Tennis, Pickle Ball, tug of war, balloon play, hockey, and hula hooping are all good for these skills.
